Seafood, is one of life’s gifts that you really shouldn’t lower your standards for. Why? Because you can really taste the difference between supermarket vs premium gourmet produce.
One of the silver linings during lockdown was that restaurant suppliers had to open up their supply to homes in order to shift their stock.
This is where I discovered the likes of the Upper Scale and Reach My Kitchen. Premium restaurant quality seafood, now available to the masses.

So, I knew we were in safe hands.
I was sent a hamper filled with a mix of seafood, meat and caviar.
After cooking using produce that was usually only reserved for luxury restaurants.
I couldn’t go back to my local supermarket for fresh produce.
The smoked salmon (pictured here) was on a level I hadn’t had before.
The slices were thick and buttery.
That standard fishy smell you have when you open supermarket smoked salmon was nonexistent.
The colour of the salmon was more vibrant.
Needless to say, I shan’t be going back to anything less than this.
